The glasses for color blindness: EnChroma

EnChroma is a pair of glasses specially designed for people who are colour blind. These glasses ensure that you can truly experience colours for the first time. These glasses work perfectly for approximately 75% of the target group. In Northern Europe, approximately 8% of men and 0.5% of women have red-green colour blindness. To see if the glasses are right for you, various tests are performed to see which lens suits you. Our optometrist or orthoptist will be happy to tell you more about these glasses. Two different types of glasses from the EnChroma

The EnChroma has two different types of lenses: the Indoor and the Outdoor lenses. Both types of lenses offer 100% UV protection. The Indoor lenses have a single-lens filter technology. This technology is specially designed to better perceive colours in low light. The Outdoor lenses are designed to be worn in the sun, allowing for optimum colour vision. Furthermore, both variants are provided with an anti-reflective coating. The EnChroma glasses are also available with prescription. It is also possible to order the lenses separately, after which the lenses are ground into the shape of your glasses.

Various options EnChroma glasses

If the tests show that you can see well through the EnChroma glasses, there are many possibilities. There are ready-made EnChroma glasses, but you can also choose to put the lenses in a different frame. So there are many possibilities, which we would like to explain to you further.

The EnChroma glasses are available from €299,-. This price can vary, depending on the frame and/or the prescription lenses that need to be supplied.
